Margaret Beaton, age 68, of Sutherland Lake and formerly of Springhill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen (Boucher) Arseneau.
Margaret was kind and caring person who was happy to help others. Many young people knew Margaret as a second mother. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 48 years, George Beaton; daughters, Kellyanne (Scott) Snailham, and Barbie Jollimore, both of Dartmouth; son, Daniel (Selena) of Sackville; grandchildren, Bryony and Samuel both of Dartmouth; brothers, Harold, and Robert (Janet); sisters, Loretta (Gwyneth) Griffiths of Kingston, ON, and Carolyn Douglas of Amherst; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the care and supervision of AH Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St, Springhill (597-2361), from where visitation will be held on Sunday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 2 pm from the funeral home with Father C. Donald Boudreau officiating.
