WHALEN, Lindy – of Coley's Point who passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Mr. Whalen was 79 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family: wife Lillian Whalen; daughters: Kelly (Dave) Styles & Kimberley Hall; grandchildren: Bradley Styles, Alannah Styles & Courtney Hall; sister-in-law Winnie Whalen; brother-in-law Bernard (Carmel) Moriarty; nieces & nephews: Cheryl Trask (Randy), Rod Whalen (Debbie), Scott Moriarty, Charmaine Dixon (Stacey), Leanne Whalen (Rodney), Bernadine Moriarty (Trevor Connolly) & Michael Connolly. Predeceased by parents Earnest & Sarah Whalen, brother David Whalen, sister-in-law Marjorie Moriarty. The funeral service will take place at Grace United Church and Cemetery, Coley's Point, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 2 p.m. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Access Road, Bay Roberts, on Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 2- 5 p.m. & 7-9:30 p.m. and Tuesday 10:30 a.m. - 12 Noon.
