The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, April 12, 2012, of Stella DesRoches of Summerside, aged 73 years. Born in Piusville, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Margaret (Gallant) Gallant. Survived by her children Darlene (Grant) Clark, Brandon, Man.; Gary (Paula), Summerside; Joe (Susan), Lincoln, N.B.; Wayne (Marlene), Lincoln, N.B.; Darryl (Pam), Summerside; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers Sylvere (Elizabeth) Gallant, Summerside; sister Dolly DesRoches, Summerside; sister-in-law Sally Cannon, Minto, N.B.; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Frank DesRoches; granddaughter Natasha; daughter-in-law Roxanne; sister Dorothy DesRoches; brothers Roger and Ferdie Gallant and Junior Cannon; and by brothers-in-law Lawrence and Elmer DesRoches. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
