Originally from Corner Brook, Max passed away suddenly at home in St. John’s at the age of 68 following a courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband, father, and grandfather, Max will be dearly missed by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth, and his daughters Caroline, Melissa (Paul Jackman), Rebecca (Stephen Hefferton), and Melanie, and his grandchildren Cameron and Holly Dunn, Alec and Maxwell Jackman, and Harrison, Ava and Abigail Hefferton. Also leaving to mourn, his sister Lillian Bussey (Edward), brothers Calvin (Cindy), Wayne (Marilyn), and Graham (Katie) and good friend Iraida (Niurka) Perez. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. on Monday, April 16 from 11 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Private family memorial service to take place on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
