FALARDEAU Louis Casimir Falardeau passed away in hospital at Kamloops, B.C. on September 8, 2007 at the age of 64 years. Louis is survived by his sisters Caroline (nee LaRue) Fortier (Clarence), Adeline Rose Phillips, Florence Falardeau (Fred) and brother Leonard Falardeau, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Louis was predeceased by parents Frances (nee Casimir) and Samuel Falardeau, sister Nellie Falardeau and brother Jackie Falardeau. Louis attended the Kamloops Indian Residential School. He was a very talented craftsman with wood. A totem pole he carved sits at the entrance of Tum Tum Trailer Park in Vavenby. He was involved in Canada's largest fire at Hazelton in 1977. Won a trophy for sand castle building at Riverside Park. Louis walked all over and when younger would jog. Made his home in Westwold, Valemount, Blue River and Vavenby. He took great pride in working at the Kamloopa Powwow. Happiest times were at the big house in Chu Chua with Aunt Lucy and his grandparents. A wake will be held at the home of Lorna Seymour, 303 CN Road (250-372-0536). Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kamloops Food Bank or RIH Foundation in memory of Louis Falardeau.
