KENNETH GRANT PREECE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken on September 9, 2007 after a very brief but brave battle with cancer. Ken was 61 years of age. He was born on October 12, 1945 in Grantown on Spay, Scotland to his parents Bud and Lindsay Preece. He is predeceased by his father Bud and his son Bud Alexander. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Patricia-Lee, daughter Chrystal (Dave) Preece, mom Lindsay Hurst and step-father Clanncy Simon, sister Donna (Allan) Grubb, Drew and Kelsy. Other family members include Ralph and Paulette Quibell (Jennifer and Aaron), Bruce and Evelyn Quibell (Travous, Chad and Lindsay), John and Cathy Buitenweg (David, Nick, Kim and Cody), Warren Armstrong (Jessie and Shane), mother-in-law Alma Quibell, daughter-in-law Leslie Preece (Nadine and Jennifer Fae). Ken worked for the CN Railway for 35 years. He and his wife Patricia-Lee travelled extensively, teaching English and supplying computers to the less fortunate in Mexico. Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Fischer's Funeral Services with Pastor Norm Russell officiating. A tea will be held after services. Burial to follow. Ken will be interned with his son, Bud. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any homeless shelter of your choice.
