John (Jack) Dewar, 82, North River. It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Jack on Friday, April 13, 2012. Jack was an avid gardener, bird watcher (especially the crows) and an outdoorsman. Jack fulfilled his lifelong dream of owning and flying his own plane in his earlier years and enjoyed the jumble puzzle in his later years. He will be missed by his family, friends and neighbours.
Jack leaves 3 children, Malcolm, Tracy and Kelly all of Ontario and was a loving grampie to Courtney, Kody and Diane.
Jack was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years Nancy.
There will be no visitation or funeral by Jack’s wishes. All are invited to an open house to celebrate Jack’s life at 14 Wilecrest Avenue, North River on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 11am until 2 pm. Donations in Jack’s memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
