Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay on April 11, 2012, Captain Charles Janes (Senior) age 95 years of Badger’s Quay. Predeceased by his wife: Elizabeth, 2001, 2 daughters; Jean Parsons 2012, Frances Trask 1988, son; Vaughan 2005, daughter-in-law; Jane Janes 2012, 2 sons-in- law; Tom Parsons 2012, Bill Trask 2001, 1 grandson; Tyson Janes, 1 great grandson; Tyson Trask, 1 brother; Baxter, 1 sister; Maisie Bourne, 7 brothers-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are 6 sons; Ernest (Mary) of badger’s Quay, Charlie (Daphne) of Badger’s Quay, Aubrey of Badger’s Quay, Thomas (Marie) of Badger’s Quay, Terry (Annette) of Fort McMurray, Frederick (Sylvia) of Badger’s Quay, 2 daughters; Olive Whidden (Junior) of Ladle Cove, Ellie Fifield (Gerald) of Corner Brook, daughter-in-law; Vida of Wesleyville, 3 sisters-in-law; Helen Anderson, Olive Simms, Florie Keats, brother-in-law; Walter Cull (Lena), 36 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a large number of nieces, nephews, many friends with one special friend; Irene Oldford. Funeral service was held on April 14, 2012 at the Salvation Army Citadel New-Wes-Valley with Lieuts. Brent & Melissa Haas officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Wesleyville.
