It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bertha Madore (nee Gallant) announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the age of 85 years. She will be sadly missed by eight sons: Glenn (Elaine) Madore of DeGrau, Cape St. George, Larry (Lavern) Madore of Cold Brook, Gerald Madore of Stephenville, Robert Madore of Stephenville, Terry Madore (Rosanna Moyles) of Kippens, Bruce Madore (Theresa Courtney) of Deer Lake, Leonard Madore (Howard Henderson) of Vancouver, British Columbia, Adrian (Sherry) Madore of Toronto, four daughters: Geneva Walsh (Rex Way) of Stephenville, Linda (Don) Ash of Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia, Sandra (Jim) Smith of Calgary, Alberta, Gloria (Jerry) Dove of Stephenville, one brother Lawrence Gallant of Stephenville, 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Madore and her son Clayton Madore. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 21st. at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
