The death occurred peacefully with loving family by her side of Denise Richard (nee Gallant) of Mont-Carmel at the age of 81 at the Prince County Hospital on April 17, 2012. The daughter of the late Albénie and Alina Gallant (Arsenault). Survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Antoine, beloved mother of Louis (Diane) Mont-Carmel, Normand at home, Clarence (Louise), St.-Raphaël, Marcella (Urbain Poirier), Cape-Egmont, Alice (Allan Cummiskey), Tarantum, Velma (Dennis Durant) Mont-Carmel; eight grandchildren, Yolande, Réjean, Mélanie, Stéphanie, Patrick, Katie-Lynn, Marc, Nico and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Maelle; sister of Exina Richard, Wilfred (Léonie) Gallant, Glorice (Marguerite) Gallant, Dorina (Lionel) Arsenault, Florence (Léonce) Bernard; sister-in-law of Geralda Gallant, Edna Arsenault and Albert Richard. Predeceased by granddaughter Gabrielle Durant, brothers Archie (Ceny) and Leo Gallant, sister in infancy Dorina, special sister-in-law Marguerite Richard and brother-in-law Oxybé Richard. Resting at the Évangeline Co-op Funeral Home until Friday, then to Notre-Dame de Mont-Carmel Church for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in church cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. until time of funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Paroisse de Mont-Carmel, Prince County Hospital or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Due to allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
