Passed away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Monday, December 14, 2009, after a lengthy illness, Gerald Baxter Pelley. Leaving to mourn his wife Jeanette; devoted sons Scott (Nancy), grandchildren Rebecca and Laura; Shawn (Gillian), grandchildren Stephanie and Andrew; Glen (Brenda), granddaughter Katelyn; sisters Kay (Jack) and Shirley; brothers Boyd and Derek; mother-in-law Una Gadon; father-in-law Joe Gadon; also many friends and relatives. Special thank you for the dedication and care from the Doctors and Nurses at the Dialysis Units. Also the Doctors, Nurses and staff who met his challenging needs at St. Clare’s, Health Sciences Center and the L.A. Miller Centre. Visitation at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday; and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday; and then from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral service from Wesley United Church on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
