Herman Frank Phillips, 78, Baddeck, passed away April 19, 2012 at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital.
Born in North East Margaree, he was the son of the late Roy Wendell and Margaret Jane (Burton) Phillips. He was a member of the Greenwood United Church. A wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marion Garland; three sons, Wesley, Baddeck, Paul, Baddeck and Stephen, Alderwood Rest Baddeck; four daughters, Judy, Baddeck, Sheila, Alberta, Carol (Art), Alberta, Donna (Benny), South Side Baddeck; three sisters, Annie Timmons, Inverness, Eva Davis, Baddeck and Catherine MacLean (Ewen), Baddeck; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Josie, Harold, Byron, Claude, Bill and Winburn; son, Daryl, grandson Jeffrey and infant daughter, infant great-granddaughter, Jaydalyn Marie and infant great-grandson, Louis Joseph Jr.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, a graveside service will held at St. Andrews Cemetery for family only at 2 p.m. April 25, 2012 with Rev. Allison Etter officiating.
