Lieu de décès : Colombie Britannique, Canada
Darren Brent Patershut passed away December 8, 2009 in Chetwynd Hospital at the age of 49 after a brief struggle with liver cancer.
Darren was born in Kamloops October 9, 1960. After graduating from Norkam in 1978, Darren worked at Valley Speed and Marine and the Weyerhaeuser Sawmill. He moved north in 1983 to work at the Bullmoose coal mine near Tumbler Ridge. There he progressed quickly from labourer to journeyman Millwright. After Tumbler Ridge he was employed at Spectra Energy's Pine River gas plant in Chetwynd where he continued as a Millwright and Pipe Fitter.
Darren loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, quadding and sledding with his family and many friends. According to Darren, sledding was all about "Riding like your pants are on fire". Darren packed a lot of living into his short life. He was one of a kind. We will miss his caring personality, his committed work ethic and boundless sense of humor. He was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Darren was predeceased by his father, John Patershut in 1974.
He is sadly missed by his wife Mary Anne, daughter Lindsey, son Kadin all of Chetwynd, Mother Sheila Patershut of Kamloops, big sisters Beverley (David) Rennie of Lillooet, Shelley (Scott) Taylor, brother Brian Patershut of Kamloops, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Darren's funeral was held to a full house in Chetwynd on December 15, 2009.
We love and miss you Darren.
This world will not be the same without you.
