WINTERS, LOUIS E. – 73, of Amherst and formerly of Hamilton, Ont. passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in Diligent River, he was a son of the late Carl and Bessie (Warren) Winters. He worked as an office administrator with Case HI in Hamilton, Ont. until his retirement. He is survived by sisters, Rose Ripley (Melvin), Amherst; Nora Goodwin, Pointe de Bute, N.B.; brothers, Fred, Halifax; Bill, Lower Sackville; Frank (Lorraine), Northport; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Josephine and Vera; brothers, Harvey, Hance, Carl, Jack, both Keith and Orland in infancy. Visitation 6-8 p.m. today [Monday, April 23, 2012] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday [April 24, 2012], Rev. Tory Byrne officiating.
