Carrie Ann Reid
December 13, 1958 - December 14, 2009
Calgary - Carrie Reid, age 51, passes away peacefully at home on December 14th, 2009 surrounded by her loving family after a couageous battle with cancer. Born in Joggins, NS Carrie was the daughter of Audrey Reid, Amherst and the late John "Wally" Reid. ,She worked many years for Nortel, Calgary and in earlier years Amherst, NS. Carrie enjoyed being with family and friends and enjoyed her soap operas especially Coronation Street.
She will be greatly missed by her dayghters, Frances "Angel", Stacy Devine (husband Shane) and Michelle (partner Jesse), grandchildren Braydon, Tamara, Mason and Kayleen all of Calgary.She is survived by brothers John (Anne) Joggins, Arthur (Jean) Amherst, sisters Bernice Vance (Bernie)Joggins, Darlene Rathburn (John) Saint John NB, Susan (Keith Grad) River Hebert, Judy Kaye(Steven) Calgary and Faith Reid-Black, Amherst as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by all.
Carrie was welcomed "home" by her father Wally, granddaughter Arailia, grandmother Eliza and the love of her life Frank, who all predeceased her. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11:00 am at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church, Joggins NS.
