We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Brenda Russell on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at home.
Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Joan (Morrison) Russell.
Left to mourn are her loving sons, Corey McNeil and Cody Russell, whom she thought the world of and loved with all her heart; longtime companion, Jim Dearing; sisters, Darlene Snow, Eileen Bown (David), Joanne Young (Jamie); brother, Scott (Trina); aunts, Anne, Jessie, Marguerite; uncle, Danny.
Besides her parents, Brenda was predeceased by brother Danny Russell, brother, in law Tommy Snow.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St.. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ritchie Robinson officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church.
Memorial donations may be made in Brenda’s name to Harvest House, 610 Main St., Glace Bay, or a charity of choice.
