Dorothy “Dot” Inman, 93 years, of Summerside passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Prince County Hospital. Born in Summerside, she was the daughter of the late George and Viola (Farquharson) Callbeck. Survived by her sons George Inman, Chicago, IL; Jerry (Cheryl) Inman, Bedford, N.S.; grandchildren Mark (Meg), Brittany, Andrew and Jessica Inman; brother Don Callbeck, Summerside; brother-in-law Harry Dye, Summerside; sister-in-law Helen Callbeck, Fonthill, Ont.; sister-in-law Mary Inman Howatt, Summerside; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Lloyd E. Inman; sisters Jean Johnston and Shirley Dye; brother Wendell Callbeck; daughter-in-law Linda Inman; brothers-in-law Harold Speers, Roy Johnston and Major Inman; sisters-in-law Joan Callbeck and Helen Biggar-Callbeck. Dorothy graduated from Mount Allison University in 1940. She taught school in Summerside and at Branksome Hall, a private girls’ school in Toronto, Ont. She and her husband Lloyd owned and operated Island Seafoods Ltd. for 25 years. Dorothy has been involved in many community organizations in Summerside. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., with a reception for family and friends to follow at the Strong Memorial Hall, Trinity United Church, Summerside. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Visiting hours Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
