It is with great sadness that the family of the late Anna Maria “Nan” House announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 93 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Annette (Bruce) Denny, Corner Brook and Maureen (Doug) Fahey, Calabogie, Ontario; grandchildren: Brian, Beth, Ian and Meghan; sisters-in-law: Dallas Ross, Sackville, Nova Scotia and Faith House, St. John’s; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including many former students she taught in Corner Brook and Port au Port. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond House, parents Phillip Hynes and Bridgette McGrath, sister Rose McIssac and brother William Hynes. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook on Friday 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Maria Regina Church in Port au Port East on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. from where the funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery with Father Aiden Devine officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility.
