RENE BARR 1930 - 2007 HELEN BARR 1931 - 2007 Helen L. Barr passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17th. Rene L. Barr also passed away peacefully on October 17th, an hour and a half later to be together in eternity with his wife of 57 years. They leave behind their daughters Pamela (Michael), Linda (Roy), Sherri (Eric), seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and their brothers Ralph Barr, Raymond Barr and Murray Nielson. Helen and Rene were predeceased by their only son Michael Barr in 1996 and grandson Kelly Maxwell in 2000. They had made Kamloops their home since 1961. Rene dedicated his working life as dispatcher with CN Rail until retirement. Helen spent numerous years teaching ceramic classes out of her home. They lived an incredibly full life and were blessed with a large circle of close friends. They enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing and curling. The family is abiding, by the wishes of Helen and Rene and no service or open house will be held. Their final resting place is the Gateway Memorial Garden at the Hillside Cemetery in Kamloops. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society or the Diabetes Society. They live on in our memories and hearts. We have a place in Heaven. Please don't sing sad songs for us, Forget your grief and fears, For we are in a perfect place, Away from pain and tears.... We are far away from hunger, and hurt and want and pride. We have a place in heaven, With the master at our side. Our life on earth was very good, As earthly lives can go, But Paradise is so much more, than anyone could know.... Our hearts are filled with happiness, And sweet rejoicing, too, To walk with God is perfect peace A joy forever new
