Tom was born and raised on the family farm north of Readlyn, SK on December 24, 1934, to John and Sarah Wendzina. He began his working career as a truck driver for many years, first for Comet and later on with Jerry Myers, Bob Smith and Westcan, finally retiring while working for Arnie Wilk, where he earned the nick name “Stomper”. He spent many years working the Rodeo with Jerry Myers who became a life long friend. The family will particularly miss hearing the numerous stories of his years with Westcan, stories about “Rusty”, “Chief” and the boys. In his retirement, Tom enjoyed his garden and loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed watching the Rodeo on TV, but never missed The Young and The Restless, often getting Susan to record it if he was going to be away. At Tom’s request there will be no service, simply remember him with a beer and a good story. Cremation services are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel.
