It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Edna MacKinnon on Friday Dec. 18, 2009 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, Sydney
Born in Big Lorraine, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Louisa (Wilcox) Fiander.
Edna was employed at the National Sea Product.
She is survived by her children, Dolly Gillis, Prince Edward Island, Clark (Diane) MacKinnon, Sydney, Percy (Georgina) MacKinnon, Louisbourg, Winston (Vera) MacKinnon, Edmonton, Alberta. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, as well as a niece and nephew.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas and sister, Gertrude.
Visitation will take place Sunday Dec. 20, 2009 at the First United Church, Louisbourg, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday Dec. 21, 2009 at the First United Church, Louisbourg with Rev. Matthew Fillier officiating.
Interment to follow in Willow Grove Cemetery, Louisbourg.
