It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond Batten announce his sudden passing on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at his family residence at the age of 79 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sons: Tony of Corner Brook, Terry (Rosemary) of Ottawa, Steven (Debbie) of Vancouver, daughter Mona (Ron St. Croix) of Prince George, grandchildren: James Batten of Halifax, Larry & Gidney Batten of Ottawa, sisters: Verna Hickey, Evelyn Davis, Joan (Bob) Johnson of Corner Brook, Marion Wells of Barrie, Ontario, brothers: Don (Minetta), Austin (Marg) of Corner Brook, brothers-in-law: Ray Boyd, James (Yvonne) Hickey of Corner Brook, Ron Hickey of Creston, sisters-in-law: Mona (Carl) Fraser, Marg (Leo) Hepditch, Gladys Batten of Corner Brook, Laura Chaffey of London, Ontario, Marg Hickey of Vancouver, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by wife Mary (nee Hickey), brothers: Bruce, Gerry, parents Don & Blanch Batten.
