ST. PETER, HELEN AVIS MARION - 1918-2012 -
Helen St. Peter of Fredericton, NB and formerly of Temperance Vale, NB passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Parkland Shannex Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB on April 27th, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. Helen was born in Temperance Vale, NB on May 20th, 1918, a daughter of the late Scovil N. and Myrtle E. (Stairs) Grant and lived there until 2007. Helen is survived by her daughters Shirley (Willard) Fraser and Pat (Richard) Bourgoin, both of Fredericton, NB; granddaughter, Michelle Bourgoin, Toronto, ON; grandsons Ronnie (Anne) Fraser and Bruce Bourgoin, both of Fredericton, NB; great grandson, Jesse Fraser of Fredericton, NB; a sister Edith (Ivan) Fawcett, Fredericton, NB; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Grant and Isabel Grant; a brother-in-law, John Fawcett; several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Roy St. Peter; an infant son, Wilfred St. Peter; siblings Irvine Grant, Ruth (Fred) Chase, Katherine (Hollie) Stairs, Eva Fawcett, S. Allen Grant and two infant sisters Leah and Mary.
Visitation will be held at Flewelling’s Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Sunday, April 29th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services for Helen St. Peter will take place at the Flewelling Funeral Home Chapel in Nackawic on Monday, April 30th at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Greg Geldart officiating. A private interment for family will follow at the Otis Cemetery. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute Service will be held on April 29th at 7:00 p.m. during the visitation. Helen was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxiliary.
