It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Shaw at the St. John Hospital, N.B., on Saturday, March 24, 2012.
Born in Toronto, Dec. 27, 1965, he was the son of Phyllis Mae (Dawe) and Rod Shaw.
He was a cab driver by trade.
He enjoyed reading, all sports especially hockey and baseball. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan.
Besides his parents, he is survived by several uncles, aunts and cousins from surrounding areas.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, May 5 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Reception to follow. Interment to take place in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Loch Lomond.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
