The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 17, with his family by his side of Kenneth John (Kenny) McMurrer of Borden-Carleton, formerly of Albany, age 72 years. Beloved father of Debbie, Borden-Carleton; Kevin, N.B.; Maureen (Dwight), Borden-Carleton; Donna (Sam), Caledonia, Ont.; and Wendy, Rainbow Lake, Alta. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Kendra, Ryan, Kayla, Blair, Travis, Samantha, Megan, Spencer and Shelby. Great-grandfather of Cassidy, Karli and Quincy. Survived by brothers Edward, Montague; Leonard (Debbie), Stratford and sister Eileen (G.M. Trainor), Shamrock. As well as a special friend Velda McKinnon. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents John and Catherine (nee Osborne) McMurrer, daughter-in-law Carrie McMurrer and grandsons Matthew and Denver. Resting at the Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora, where visitation will be received on Friday, Sept. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Peter's Parish, Seven Mile Bay on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 2 pm. Interment to follow in church cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
