It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Doris at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home. Doris is survived by her children Elma (Martin) Wilcox, Fred (Angela) Buburuz, Dale Buburuz , 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, Marge and Joann Simon and their father Joseph. Doris also leaves to mourn two sisters, Mary and Verna, and one brother George (May) Sotir. Doris was born to Nicholas and Maria Sotir in Kayville Saskatchewan where she was married and raised her first family. Doris later remarried and raised her second family with Joseph in Saskatoon. Doris was a woman of countless talents who blessed everyone with her many gifts. Doris enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking, and in her later years she discovered painting and writing. She had a great love of nature and all of God’s creation. Doris had many life-long friends whom she treasured and who will dearly miss her friendship and humor. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Saskatoon Convalescent Home for their loving care. A celebration of Doris’ life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday December 23rd at the Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre, 915 Acadia Drive Saskatoon officiated by the Very Reverend Father Ron Beechinor. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens following the service. Arrangements are entrusted to David Schurr (955-1600). Memorial donations can be made to the Saskatoon Convalescent Home (101 31st Street West Saskatoon S7L- 0P6) or the Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (3031 Louise Street Saskatoon S7J- 3L1).
