The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, December 20, 2009, of Mr. Sterling Joseph Bernard of Scotchfort, age 67 years.
Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Marie (Sark) Bernard and dear father of Geraldine (Bruce) Jadis. Stepfather of Angus Sark, Patrick Sark, and Patricia Bourque. Grandfather of Cory Jadis, Ashley Jadis, Ryan Jadis, Chelsea Jadis and Bruce Jadis. Great-grandfather of Ethan, Markus, Kyrha and Caden. Brother of Ivan Bernard and Olga Peters. He was predeceased by his son, Junior Bernard; and brothers and sisters, Cecil, George, Hazel, Freeman, Lee, John Henry and Richard.
Transferred from the Hennessey Funeral Home to his residence, 135 Redstone Dr., Scotchfort, for visiting hours starting Tuesday at 3 p.m. and on Wednesday until 3 p.m. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. with funeral mass from St. Bonaventure Church, Tracadie Cross. Interment to follow in St. Bonaventure Parish Cemetery.
