TRENTON – Betty Jane “Dolly†Duff, age 74, of the Glen Haven Manor and formerly of Main St., Trenton, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009, in the Manor.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late William and Nellie (Myers) MacKenzie.
She was a former employee of the Aberdeen Hospital Housekeeping Dept. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 28 Stellarton, and the Tuesday Night and Over 50 Dart Leagues.
She is survived by her husband, James Duff; daughters: Jane (Edward) Ferguson, Westville; Lillian (Bob) Edwards, Lower Sackville; Robin Rice (Marty), Edmonton; Lorraine (Foster) Lorimer, Trenton; son, John (Rachel) Clark, Trenton; grandchildren: Jason (Stacey) Ferguson; Aaron (Jo-Anne) Ferguson; Janine (Brendon) Allen; Jonathan (Janelle) Edwards; Suzy Edwards (Steven Boutilier); Blare Rice; Kayla Clark; Justine Lorimer; Gage Lorimer; Evan Lorimer; great-grandchildren: Andrew Ferguson; Colton Edwards; sisters: Marion Cameron, Shiretown Nursing Home; Lois (Jerry) McKinnon, New Glasgow; brother, Hughie (Karla) MacKenzie, New Glasgow.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Fraser Clark; daughter, Gloria; granddaughter, Candace; sisters: Helen, Catherine, Joan, Jean, Ruth; brothers, Lawrence, Bob.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday in the First United Church, Trenton, with Rev. Debra Orton officiating. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Burial will be in Church Brook Cemetery, Little Harbour.
