Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2009, at home in the presence of his family, Robert D. Druken, age 60 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Anastatia (Morrissey) and sister Edie Francis. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 40 years Rita (Tucker); his only son Jason and daughter-in-law Pam (Johnson); two special grandchildren: Caleb, Poppy’s little man and Isabella who had Poppy’s heart; brother Edward (Alice deceased); sisters: Helen Pender (Gus deceased), Barbara (Stewart Mitchell) and Anita Lundrigan (Wally deceased); mother-n-law Rita Tucker; sisters-in-law: Alice (Al) (Gerry Crewe) and Roxanne (Rocky) (Marshall Williams) and brother-in-law Joe Tucker (Rhonda); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bobby was a devoted employee of the Canadian Coast Guard and thoroughly enjoyed his job. He especially liked to go to the small “lighthouse” communities and meet with the people. Here he met many friends. He was an avid volunteer who worked with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program, managed various ball hockey teams and was an active member of the toy dog club. He enjoyed cooking, photography, camping and spending quality time with family and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday, December 22nd from 12 noon to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, December 23rd from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a Children’s Charity of choice.
