Passed peacefully away at the Miller Centre surrounded by her loving family and friends on December 20, 2009, Carmel O’Mara, daughter of the late Jack (Happy) and Mary Madden; and predeceased by her infant sister Patsy. Leaving to mourn her husband of 45 years Tom; daughter Erin (Dave Conrad) and their children: Lauren and Andrew Conrad; sisters: Maureen Rouleau (Ed), Pincher Creek, Alta. and Betty Cole (Bill), Mount Pearl; brothers: Gerry Madden (Margaret), St. John’s and Bernard Madden (Carmel Littlejohn), St. John’s; sister-in-law Agnes O’Mara (John Shaw); also ten nieces and nephews and their families; special friends: (The Girls): Carol Wakeham, Betty Coffin, Patsy Leonard, Betty Dunphy, Jean Meeker and Marie Hayes; as well as other relatives and friends. At Carmel’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2009 from Mary Queen of the World Parish. Flowers are being gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the H.
