JEANNETTE LOUISE URQUHART 1929 - 2007 Jeannette (Jan) passed away peacefully on October 31, 2007 at Kamloops Hospice House, after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer. Jan will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends, for her quick wit and immeasurable sense of humor. Jan was born in Council, Sask in 1929 and moved with her family to Tsawwassen. She married Jack Leonard Urquhart in 1954 and they raised one son Garry, in Port Moody and Port Coquitlam, finally moving to Kamloops in 1976. Jan is survived by her Son Garry, Grandson Jack Jr., Granddaughter Michelle, Brothers Lawrence and Gordon Elderkin, Sister Laura Gaudet and several Nieces and Nephews. Jan is predeceased by her Husband Jack, Parents John Minor and Annie Eliza Elderkin, Brothers Jess and Harold Elderkin. Jan was a generous and loyal wife, friend, mother, grandmother and aunt, always putting other's needs ahead of her own. She will be sadly missed by all. Jan was a very talented and enthusiastic golfer and enjoyed many a game with good friends. In lieu of flowers, Mom requested friends and family, wishing to do so, make donations to the Kamloops Hospice House, 72 Whiteshield Crescent South, Kamloops, B.C. V2E 2S9.
