MARTIN MARTIN, Jacques (Jack), born June 29, 1930 in Riviere du Loup, Quebec. Our deeply beloved husband, dad and grandpa passed away peacefully the morning of November 27th, 2007 with his family at his bedside. Jack fought a strong battle with Alzheimer's disease, but always had a beautiful smile for us when we were with him and we will cherish every moment we had together. Jack moved his family from Montreal to Kamloops in 1969. He worked for many years in the construction industry and was always ready and happy to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbours with his truck and tools. Jack loved to go fishing, and collect stamps, baseball and hockey cards. He enjoyed travelling in his truck sometimes with no particular destination in mind, just to explore. Jack leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife Florence, his children Kim, Neil (Kristi), and Lynn and his grandchildren Sara, Reeve and Jordan. Jack is predeceased by his father and mother Eugene and Alvina, eldest sister Helene and his brother Jean Louis. He also leaves behind his brother Guy (Peg) of Kamloops, his brother Albert and sister Pierette, Marcelle, Charlotte and Jacqueline all of Montreal, and many nieces and nephews. We love you dearly and will miss you greatly, and forever be in our hearts. The family would like to thank Jack's caregivers at The Hamlets in Westsyde, Nurse Next Door and Kamloops Senior's Village for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jack's memory to the Alzheimer's Society.
