The death occurred at the Summerset Manor on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, of Augustine "Gus" Gallant of Summerset Manor, formerly of Mont Carmel, at age 94 years. He is the son of the late Arsine and Madelaine (nee LeClair) Gallant. Besides his loving wife, Dorothy, he is survived by sons and daughters Kenneth (Bertha), Summerside, Yvonne of Montreal; Leonard (Phyllis) of Summerside, Wilfred (Joan Rumson) of Summerside; Raymond (Elizabeth) of St. Nicholas; Linda (Hartland Jessome) of Regina; and brothers Jean Pierre of St. Timothy; Gerard, Summerside, Adrien (Yvonne) of Burlington, Ont.; and Cedric (Marion) of Hamilton, Ont. Also survived by 13 grandchildren: Kendra, Angela, Karla, Michel, Chris, Andy, Julie, Jeffery, Roxanne, Mindy, Mitchell; Rachelle and Pascale and by 14 great-grandchildren: Hannah, Naomi, Zachari, Alex, Tara, Kenneth, Nicholas, Noah, Lauren, Beth, Aimee, Ella, Emily and Elli May. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Zenon, Albert and Henry, sisters: Aimee and Lita and brothers and sisters-in-law Beatrice, Katherine, Muriel, Aline, Harry Price and Mr. Dawson. He was a member of Club 50 and a member of Mont Carmel Darts League for 16 years. Resting at Evangeline Funeral Home until Thursday, then to Notre Dame du Mt. Carmel Church, Mont Carmel, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Visitors shall be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Mont Carmel Church or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
