GEBERT On Wednesday, December 26, 2007 Mr. Robert John Gebert passed away peacefully at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his loving wife Helen, his two daughters Kathy (Leonard) of Adams Lake and Lois (John) of Salmon Arm and his three sons Joseph of Alberta, Carl of Chase and Alan (Cindy) of Vancouver Island and nine grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are his two sisters Noreen Anderson and Karleen Kripps. Bob was predeceased by his parents and two brothers Lorne and Garwin. Born August 13, 1928 in Olds, Alberta, Bob moved to Adams Lake in 1947. He married Helen on November 8, 1958 where a family of five was started and raised. He worked for Holding Lumber Company / Adams Lake Lumber for 44 years, retiring in 1991. Moved to Chase in 2004 where he lived until his time of passing. Bob, as he was known by his friends enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. Also Saturday nights in front of the TV with his beer, friends and family watching "Hockey Night in Canada". He was a Legion member for 48 years. Bob will be sadly missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
