Age 65 years, of Cape Broyle, passed peacefully away on December 22, 2009, at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his mother and father Michael and Ida Dalton, brothers: Michael, Alphonsus, sisters: Betty and Angela. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Jeanie; sons: Earl (Roxann, Ian and Ryan), Eric (Judy, Genna, John, Jayson) and daughter Erin (Karl and Ashton); brothers: Patrick (Sheila); sisters: Christine (William), Cathy; Sister Esther, Marie (Earl) and sister-in-law Joan (Phonse), Joan (Michael); sisters and brothers-in-law: Hugie (Jo), Noreen, Barbara (Kenny), Dermmot (Marg), Kevin (Barb), Brenda (Francis); and a large circle of nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all who have helped John in each and every way, we will be forever grateful. Special mention for the great care that John received from the staff at the Palliative Care Unit. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on December 26th and 27th from 2 to 9 p.m. and on December 28th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Cape Broyle on December 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
