October 12, 1916 - December 21, 2009. Volunteer with the first 200 British Royal Navy WWII, Lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 39. He retired after 27 years as Conservation Officer with Dept. of Fisheries. Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre, Caribou Veterans Pavilion on Monday, December 21, 2009, Archibald Charles Pitcher formerly of Winterton in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wife Rebecca (2008), daughter, Joan (2008) and infant daughter Doreen (1945). Leaving to mourn and to celebrate his life with thanksgiving are his children: Glenys (Bob), Donna (Jim), Ada (Clyde), Wayne (Blanche), Dennis (Stacy), Danny, Carolann (Jesse), Terry (Maggie), seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother Hector and sister Carrie. Also lovingly remembered by a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at the SUF Lodge, Heart’s Delight on Tuesday, December 22nd, 8 p.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Heart’s Delight on Wednesday, December 23, at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy flowers gratefully declined, donations in his memory may be made to St. Matthew’s Anglican Church.
