It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leah Brake announce her passing on Saturday, May 12th, 2012 at her family residence in Trout River at the age of 88. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Helen (Roy) Howe; Trout River, Ned (Kathy); Kitchener ON., Elwood (Tina); Cambridge ON., Jan (Missie); Erin ON., 25 Grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, sister Bernice; Alberta, brothers: Gurney (Phyllis); Cambridge ON., and Gerald (Lena) Crocker; Cox’s Cove as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil Brake, daughter Gertie, son Zebedee, grandsons Eddie and John, parents Wallace and Martha Crocker, brothers: Harvey, Charlie, Walter, Rex, Bramwell, Kitchener, and sisters: Rebecca and Alice. Friends may visit the Salvation Army Church in Trout River today from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, from where the service will be held on Tuesday, May 15th at 2PM with Major Wayne Pike officiating. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Trout River. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
