PLYMOUTH – Stanley “Kevin” Cabaj, 53, of Plymouth, died suddenly on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at home.
Born in New Glasgow on November 4, 1956, he was the son of the late Stanislaw ”Stanley” and Martha ”Peggy”(O’Hanley) Cabaj.
He is survived by his partner, Marsha Cunningham, Plymouth; daughters: Meghann, Ontario; Steffanie, Trenton; and a son, Shawn, Trenton; a granddaughter, in Ontario; close nephew, Graham O’Hanley, New Glasgow; and cherished friend, Vernon Carrigan, New Glasgow; extended family, Maurice (Vera) Cunningham and Kara (Chris and Jude) Allen, Plymouth; many other nieces, nephews and relatives.
Kevin was a long time employee at Tibbet’s Paints Limited, and made many wonderful friends there during that time. He enjoyed photography, computers, woodworking, bowling, as well as spending time outside with nature and was a “Mr. Fixit”.
He was predeceased by a brother, Graham O’Hanley in 2003.
His remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visiting from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009 with Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Diabetes Association.
