OTTENBREIT 1921 ~ 2007 Mr. Joseph "Joe" Adam Ottenbreit of Kamloops. BC passed away peacefully on December 31, 2007 at 86 years of age. Joe is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Ruth and Caroline, sons Don and Elmer (Dawna), stepchildren Marilyn (Mike) Bruno, Vern (Linda) Pounder, Marvin Pounder, Lloyd (Carol) Pounder, Al (Darlene) Pounder, and Ernie (Judy) Pounder, as well as 30 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Frances, son Mervin, brothers Tony and Mike, sister Caroline, and his parents Gertrude and Carl. Dad lived a very full life. Born in Grayson, Saskatchewan, he moved to BC and was one of the many to venture to Kitimat, BC, to become a long time employee of Alcan. Dad was an avid fisherman and hunter. A caring, compassionate husband, father, and grandfather, always and forever in our hearts. "Miss me a little but not too long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that once we shared Miss me but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And each must go alone It's all part of the Master's Plan A step on the road to HOME." Special thanks to Dr. Leung and the wonderful nursing staff on 3 West for their care during Dad's final hours. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 4, 2008 in St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2826 Bank Road. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 5, 2008 in St. John Vianney Catholic Church, with Reverend Father Wladysaaw Karciarz, Celebrant. Cremation to follow.
