Leslie was born on March 28, 1938 in Manitoba and passed away in the Overlander Extended Care Home in Kamloops on December 21, 2009.

He is survived by Norma, his spouse of 46 years; five children Bruce Ludwig (Paola), Leona Ludwig, Fran Heichert (Dale), Scott Ludwig (Leah) and Brent Ludwig; nine grandchildren; two sisters Marjorie Sigurdson and Irene Dempster (Ken); one brother Theodore Ludwig (Daisy); two sisters-in-law Lila Ludwig and May Ludwig; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, five brothers (Bill, Dan, Stan, Everett and Glenn), one sister (Dorothy Dempster) and one brother-in-law (Omer Dempster).

Leslie moved to British Columbia in 1957. He worked in several small sawmills until 1965 when he became employed by the sawmill in Savona. He remained there until it closed, then worked in the plywood plant until he retired in 1996. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent many happy hours camping, sitting in a boat (whether catching fish or not), ice fishing and hunting with family and friends.

There will be no formal service held.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Leslie's memory to the charity of your choice.
