Formerly of Torbay, NL, passed peacefully at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa, ON, on Friday, December 18, 2009, in her 71st year, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Angela Pinsent of Bellevue, Trinity Bay. She leaves to mourn: David, her loving husband of 49 years; two daughters: Denise (Harry Pittman), Lisa (Brian Loder) and son Jamie (Michelle). She was grandmother to Shaine (Jen), Leslie, Corey, Amanda, Sarah, Joshua, Jordan, and Liam. She will also be remembered by her siblings Raymond, Mary, Thomas, James, Barbara, and Noreen, as well as a large number of nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends. Funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph The Worker Roman Catholic Church in Oshawa on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. At Madonna’s request, cremation followed and final interment will take place at a later date (to be announced) at the Roman Catholic Cemetery at Bellevue, Trinity Bay. Donations may be made in Madonna’s memory to any branch of the Canadian Cancer Society.
