Archibald Carson
CARSON, ARCHIBALD - Mr. Archibald Carson, husband of the late Eleanor (Brown) Carson of the Veteran’s Health Center in Fredericton, formerly of Holtville, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2012 at the Veteran’s Health Center at the age of 99. Born in Holtville, he was the son of the late James MacKinnon Carson and Ella Mae (Munn) Carson. Archibald was a woods worker and a World War II veteran. He was a member of Holtville United Church, where he was a member of the choir. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #78, Boiestown, and a member of the Board of Trade. Archibald is survived by his daughters, Bonita Waye (William) of Islandview, Barbara Fleming of Greenwood, NS, and Beverly Spires (Wayne) of Moores Mills; his sister, Annie MacLellan of Saint John; his brother, Thomas Carson of Holtville, nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Marisa, Jordan, Kerry, Joel, Benjamin, Tami, Tina and Sarah; and three great-grandchildren, Madison, Alex and Lila. Besides his parents and his wife, he is predeceased by his sisters, Jessie Munn and Christine Conroy; and his brothers, William and Charles.
Mr. Archibald Carson is resting at the United Church in Boiestown, with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. The funeral service will be held at the United Church in Boiestown on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 2pm with Rev. Bev Daley officiating. Burial will follow in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville. In his memory, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or to a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated.
