Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on December 24th, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, Dorean Pitcher aged 69 years. Predeceased by brother Bernard Tucker and sister Jackie Gosse. Leaving to mourn husband Gordon; children Paulette Tucker (Obie), Bob Newell (Sarah), Herbert Newell (Terri), Keith Newell (Francine), Velma Harnum (Tony), Janice Bishop (Winston); stepchildren Trevor Noseworthy (Debbie), Jean Miller (Don), Stan Pitcher (Marilyn), Bernice Tanner (Danny), Verna Pitcher, Graham Pitcher (Lorraine), Wanda Higdon (Robert), Gloria Chislett (Ernie), Doris Garland (Bill), Evelyn Vokey (Bill), Perry Pitcher (Stella), Tony Pitcher (Debbie), Lisa Higdon. Also leaving to mourn brother Charlie Tucker (Irma); sister Marilyn Lundrigan (Noel); sister-in-law Winnie Tucker; as well as a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Saturday, December 26th from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to9 p.m. and Sunday, December 27th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Then resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday December 27th from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, December 28th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday, December 29th at 2 p.m. from Pouch Cove United Church with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery.
