BETSEY LAWRAINE SWIHART January 12, 1933 - January 6, 2008 Betty passed away peacefully with her family by her side from cancer. She showed great strength and maintained her humour throughout her illness. Betty is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lloyd, daughter Debbie of Ottawa and daughter Susan and her husband David Lidster and her beautiful granddaughters, Natalie and Kia, of Kamloops. She was predeceased by her parents Edith and John Douglas and her brother Bobbie. Betty was raised in Neilburg, Sask. and frequently shared her many fond memories of growing up on the family farm. She loved horses and was a very good rider. She will be remembered for her generosity and willingness to help others. She especially enjoyed being with her family and was our number one fan speaking proudly of our accomplishments. We would like to thank Dr. H. Ritenburg for Mom's care and a very special thank you to the group of staff and volunteer angels at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home whose care for Mom in the last few days of her life brought great comfort to all of us.
