Peacefully, and surrounded by her family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday May 19, 2012 of Joyce L. Dawson of Gerald McCarville Dr., Kensington, aged 69 years. Born in Carleton Siding on May 15, 1943. The daughter of the late Reigh and Fannie (MacDonald) Paynter. Wife of Orville B. Dawson. Mother of Mervin (Kim) Clark, Malpeque and Norris Dawson (Brandi MacKenzie), Big River, Saskatchewan. Grandmother to Anthony Coyle (deceased), Dakota Dawson, Kyle Clark and Taylor MacKenzie and great grandmother to Gavin MacKenzie. Sister of Ruth Carr, New Annan; Charles (Jean) Paynter, Borden-Carleton and Glynn (Connie) Paynter, Freetown. Sister-in-law of Gertrude Paynter MacDonald, Seven Mile Bay; Bessie Paynter, Borden-Carleton; Katherine (Joe) Richards, Borden-Carleton; Wilda Paynter, Borden-Carleton; Jean Burt, Kensington, Lena Nicholson (late Ira), Charlottetown and Jennie Mayhew (late Earl), Westmoreland. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, as well as Cindy Dawson (mother of Dakota Dawson) and Levita Coyle (mother of the late Anthony Coyle). Predeceased by brothers Walter, James (late Marjorie), Lowell (late Esther), Arthur, Alfred, Ivan, and Norris Paynter in infancy, sisters Marjorie (late Colin) Burt, Hazel (late Ivan) Somers and Pearl (late Morley) Crozier, brother-in-law Stanford Carr. Father-in-law and mother-in-law Blaine and Olive (Arbing) Dawson and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Everett and Vera Mayhew. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington where visitation was held on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
