MacRae, Sharon Sylvia – 52, Upper North River, passed away suddenly, as a result of Huntington’s Disease, on Monday, May 21, 2012, at Debert Court. Born March 30, 1960, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Alma (McNutt) Pratt. Sharon worked at Stanfield’s for a number of years. She enjoyed tole painting, working in her flower garden and was an accomplished seamstress. Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Darrell Ross MacRae; daughter, Brittany MacRae, Upper North River; son, Derek MacRae, Calgary; siblings, Eldora (Emery) Lynds, East Mountain; Louise (Bill) Buckler, Valley; Johnny (Karen) Pratt, Truro; Dale (Cindy) Pratt, Upper North River; Beverly (Gary) Whidden, North River; Roger (Jeannie) Pratt, Goose Bay-Labrador, Newfoundland; Rodney (Barb) Pratt, East Mountain; Jeffrey (Donna) Pratt, Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Honouring Sharon’s wishes, there will be a private graveside interment service in Blackmore Memorial Cemetery, Upper North River, at a later date.
