
Thomas "Tom" Horton
HORTON, THOMAS "TOM" B. - Thomas “Tom” B. Horton, 89, of Canterbury Hall, Riverview and formerly of Johnson Ave., Moncton, with loving family members at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday May 21, 2012. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Sidney and Ella May (Steeves) Horton. Tom was a retired Supervisor with CN Rail Data Processing and was a member of Mountain View United Church. He was a member of Moncton Legion Branch #6 and a Veteran of WWII having served overseas with the RCAF attached to the RAF in the United Kingdom and the South East Asia Command. Tom was an avid gardener of vegetables and flowers (especially gladiolus), enjoyed skating, swimming, was a loyal CBC listener and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the family cottage at Cap-Brûlé. Tom will be sadly missed by his daughter, Alison Hannah (Mark) of Saint John; sons, Neil of Calgary and Jamie (Marguerite) of Halifax, NS; precious grandchildren, Ryan Hannah (Kara Doiron), Alexander Hannah, Rory Horton (Laurielle Savoury); step granddaughter, Stephanie Grant; cherished great grandson, Jaxyn; sisters, Shirley Horton and Marion Leaman, both of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Sheila (Sinclair) Horton (October 2009); brothers, Sydney and Edward.

Celebration of Life Service for Tom at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 25, 2012, 1:30 pm, Rev. Mary MacPherson officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
