PHINNEY, SYLVIA E. - 1925 - 2012 - Sylvia E. Phinney, of Riverview, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, May 22 at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Sackville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Rachel (Delles Dernier) Wigmore. Sylvia was a former member of the Sackville Curling Club and the IODE. Sylvia will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Ralston Phinney, daughter, Golda (Shea) of Sudbury, ON., six sons; Wayne (Louise) of Baie Verte, NB, Bob (Debbie) of Tucson, Arizona, Dean and Brian both of Moncton, Kimball of Riverview, Malcolm (Tammy) of Sackville, a sister, Frances of Sarnia, ON, a brother Ralph of Oakville, ON, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Everett.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Rd; Riverview, NB (869-2007) on Thursday from 3:30 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The service will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 25 at 1:00 PM, with Aaron Billard officiating with the interment to follow at The Sackville Cemetery.
