EMILIE E. HAWKER October 18, 1937 ~ January 17, 2008 Emilie Hawker of Scotch Creek, B.C. passed away on January 17, 2008 at the age of 70 years. After a valiant fight of eight years to overcome cancer, she went to join her many angels. She is survived by her loving husband David and beloved children Cindy (Shane) Hawker of Stony Plain and Steven Hawker of Kamloops. Emilie also leaves to cherish her memory three grandchildren Jerran, Kristopher and Gina as well as four sisters Rita, Margaret, Josephine and Christina (Dick) also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Emilie was predeceased by her son David James, brothers Michael and Gerald, sisters Agnes and Doris, parents Joe and Agatha Lacombe. A world without Emilie Hawker in it is a saddened place indeed. She was a beautiful lady with a never ending smile, friendly hospitable heart and forever an optimist. Emilie was born in Fort Fitzgerald, Alberta and spent her formative years in Fort Smith in North West Territory. In 1959 she met and married Dave. After several postings with the R.C.M.P. they ended up in Kamloops and then on to Scotch Creek. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2008, time and place to be announced at a later date.
