WESLEY KAY MCCASKILL July 19, 1928 - January 23, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and papa. He was lovingly surrounded by family and in the thoughts and prayers of all those who were touched by his generous spirit and positive outlook on life. He was a great example to all who knew him and his memory will live on in our hearts forever. Wes was predeceased by his sons Garry (1986) and Brian (2004). He is survived by his loving wife Doreen of 56 years. His sons Rick (Jan), Rod (Marie) and Bob. Daughter Karen (Terry) and daughter-in-law Doris. His grandchildren Michelle (Chuck), Shayne (Terri), Rob (Kim), Blair (Yvonne), Karsha (Kevin), Nathan and Naomi. Great grandchildren Kymmie, Isaac, Kailey, Jacob, Amy, Holly, Seamus and Samantha. One brother, two sisters, numerous relatives and friends. Wes was born in Walpole, Saskatchewan where he met and married his sweetheart Doreen in 1951. They left the prairies they loved so much to move to Kamloops with their four sons in 1957. They had one more son before their dream of a little girl came true. He was loved and will be dearly missed and: If tears could build a stairway, And memories a lane, We'd walk right up to Heaven And bring him home again. A special thank-you everyone for your generous support and cards and flowers. By request there will be no funeral. To pay respects there will be a drop-in at Wes and Doreen's apartment for close family and friends, #210-1946 Curlew Drive, between 1:00-3:00 P.M. February 2nd, 2008.
